Hardly an auspicious time to launch a travel book, but then again many of us are looking for some kind of diversion. A note of caution: this book won’t change your life – only you can do that, ‘gorgeous’ is not anywhere employed as an adjective, and if you’re obsessive about a ‘sense of place’ there’s probably a stack of redundant holiday brochures you’ll find more engaging. It is, I hope, a collection of short stories, each of which will for a few minutes transport readers to another time and another place, and that’s probably enough for now. Available on Amazon here…
